Privacy policy

Effective date: August 5, 2026

QuirkedWorks ("we," "us") runs quirkedworks.com. We sell protest merch and give away printable files. This policy says what information we handle, why, and what we will never do with it. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run a store, we run no ad trackers, and we never sell or share your personal information.

What we collect

  • Order information. When you buy something: your name, shipping address, email address, and what you ordered. Payment details are processed by Shopify's payment infrastructure. We never see or store your card number.
  • Email signups. If you join our email list, we store your email address and use it only to send you what you signed up for. Every email has an unsubscribe link that works.
  • Messages you send us. If you contact us through the site or by email, we keep the message so we can answer it.
  • Basic store analytics. Our platform, Shopify, collects standard technical data (pages viewed, browser type, referring page) to make the store function and show us aggregate traffic. We use Shopify's built-in analytics only.

What we don't do

  • No advertising pixels, no retargeting, no third-party ad trackers. None.
  • We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. There is no "opt out of sale" hoop to jump through because there is no sale to opt out of.
  • No cookie consent banner, because we set no cookies that require one. The only cookies are the essential ones Shopify needs to run a cart and checkout.

Who we share data with

Only the services required to deliver your order: Shopify (our store platform), our print-on-demand production partners (who receive your name and shipping address to print and ship what you bought), and shipping carriers. Each receives only what they need to do their job. That's the whole list.

Global Privacy Control

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal through Shopify's built-in privacy settings. Since we don't sell or share personal data in the first place, honoring it costs us nothing and you lose nothing.

Your rights (California and everyone else)

California residents have the right under the CCPA/CPRA to know what personal information we hold, to request a copy, to request deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We extend the same rights to everyone regardless of state. Email privacy@quirkedworks.com and we'll handle it. Verified requests are answered within 45 days.

Retention

Order records are kept as long as required for taxes, accounting, and warranty claims. Email-list addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Messages are kept as long as they're useful for helping you.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new effective date. We won't quietly weaken it.
